No, you cannot use Vivint’s security cameras without service. The cameras that Vivint provides are designed exclusively for use with their own monitoring service. They will be rejected by any other video surveillance platform. They cannot be taken over by another alarm monitoring company.
Can I still use Vivint camera without service?
Vivint cameras cannot be used without service. They require the purchase of the Smart Home Video Monitoring monthly subscription plan. Up to four Vivint cameras can be on one subscription plan, but there is an extra cost for the third and fourth cameras.
