For instance, your pool has a capacity of 20,000 gallons, you would add four chlorine tablets. But if your pool holds just 16,000 gallons, you’d still use four, three-inch chlorine tablets. It’s that easy.

Never use stabilized chlorine to ‘shock’ your pool – it is a waste of good chlorine, it will take much longer to ‘calm’ down to normal levels and will add loads of unwanted cyanuric acid to your water.

It doesn’t mean the chlorine won’t break down, but the stabiliser keeps it active in the pool water much longer than chlorine alone can. Stabilised chlorine can reduce the amount of chlorine you have to use in your pool. Over time you will save money as you will not have to use so much.
